“Time” by Sara Hinton

Tick Tock goes the clock
as time moves ever on.
Tick tock goes the clock
it runs until it’s gone.

Tick Tock goes the clock
to never come again.
Tick tock goes the clock
don’t waist it oh ye man.

Tick Tock goes the clock
eating all it sees.
Tick tock goes the clock
swallowing all my fees.

Tick Tock goes the clock
most say it’s short.
Tick Tock goes the clock
life’s longer than court.

Tick Tock goes the clock
always too fast or slow.
Tick tock goes the clock
telling me to go.

Tick tock goes the clock
do I waist it all on pleasure?
Tick tock goes the clock
do I waist it all on labor?

Tick tock goes the clock
it was here long before me.
Tick tock goes the clock
it will soon destroy me.

Tick Tock goes the clock
never to come again.
Tick tock goes the clock
another one comes again.

Tick tock goes the clock
it destroys what I create.
Tick tock goes the clock
it tears life away from me

Tick tock goes the clock
it’s joyful and it’s sad.
Tick tock goes the clock
it brings life and death.

Tick tock goes the clock
time does this all.
Tick tock goes the clock
never to repeat itself at all

Tick tock goes time
the giver and destroyer of all.
